1、ASK exothermic insulating risers
ASK exothermic insulating risers are manufactured through a special process using inorganic binders, high-efficiency exothermic agents, and raw materials with extremely low spheroidization interfering elements. They offer advantages such as high feeding efficiency, low gas evolution, convenient operation, and environmental friendliness.
These risers can effectively address casting shrinkage defects, inhibit graphite distortion in ductile iron, reduce molding sand contamination, and lower flue gas emissions. They significantly improve the process yield of castings, reduce casting production and post-treatment costs, and enhance the overall quality of castings.

3、Application

1. Elimination of Shrinkage Defects
Roughly 20 % of castings suffered shrinkage cavities at fillet areas. After switching to ASK risers, the defects were completely eliminated and overall casting quality improved dramatically.
2. Prevention of Graphite Degeneration
Wind-turbine axle housings previously showed graphite degeneration beneath a competitor’s risers at hot spots. Replacing them with ASK risers restored normal graphite morphology.
4、Precautions
1. Keep away from moisture. Store in a dry environment. The shelf life is 9 months.
2. Avoid collision and cracking during transportation and storage. It is advisable to remove the packaging before use.
3. Design the fitting clearance reasonably to ensure accurate and firm placement of the riser.
There is no need to pursue an excessively large riser modulus. Select the riser sleeve model and parameters reasonably according to the feeding requirements of the casting.
